Tacit knowledge is a company’s asset which plays a key role in the global competition, especially in improving the company’s competitive advantage. Most tacit knowledges are kept within the individual. Competitive advantage determines the competitive position of the company from its competitors. By optimizing the existing tacit knowledge, every individual in the company achieves optimum competitive advantage. The main objective of this research is to analyze the correlation between individual tacit knowledge and the company’s competitive advantage. Tacit knowledge, competitive advantage and individual target are the constructs or latent variables that will be analyzed. Partial Least Square (PLS) will be used as analyzing tool in this research. PLS has the capability to identify and investigate each indicator of tacit knowledge constructs, competitive advantage constructs and individual target constructs. The results of this research show that every indicator in each constructs have a good validity, reliability and significance level. Result shows that all of the exogenous constructs involved highly correlate with their endogenous constructs. This result indicates that the tacit knowledge of every individual in the company needs to be considered by the company to achieve its optimum competitive advantage.
