Isi artikelChina's perpetual economic boom has given the nation prominence on the world stage. Breakneck economic growth has the nation on track to be the world's largest economy by 2016. It was a milestone that had long been predicted. But when it actually came to pass, it was startling nonetheless. China had shot past more developed nations to become the second-largest economy in the world in 2010. When that news was released earlier this year, the country's $10 trillion economy was still advancing at a breakneck pace-the World Bank is forecasting 9.3% growth in 2011 and calls that a "slowdown". Many analysts believe it is only a matter of time before China will be home to the world's largest economy.
