Abstract
This study dealt with the lesson plans developed by the micro teaching students for primary school in English Department at Faculty of Education and Language in Atma Jaya Catholic University. The objectives of this study is to analyze the components of the students’ lesson plans in the micro teaching for primary school. This study was conducted to answer four research questions: (1) to find out whether all the components were already covered in the lesson plan; (2) to find out whether each component had been developed correctly based on theory of developing lesson plan; (3) to analyze the well-developed components; (4) to analyze the less-developed components. The writer applied BSNP’s (2007) theory in analyzing the components of lesson plan. Brown’s (2001) theory was used to compare the component with BSNP’s (2007) theory. The writer obtained 6 lesson plans from the micro teaching lecturer. The writer analyzed the data using the components of lesson plan checklist table. There are 11 components listed in components of lesson plan checklist table. The components are (1) identity of lesson; (2) standard of competency; (3) basic competency; (4) the indicator of competence achievement; (5) objective of study; (6) material of study; (7) time allocation; (8) method of study; (9) teaching activity; (10) assessment; (11) resources. Those components were used to analyze the componets of lesson plan listed in micro teaching lesson plan. As a result, the writer summarized that most of the components in the lesson plan were already covered and well developed.
