The rapid development of the industry tends to be followed by the development of information technology so that business processes can run more easily, quickly, and accurately. UKM Media Warna Scan is an industry that is engaged in printing. The problem that often occurs is UKM Media Warna Scan loses order due to unavailability of required raw materials. This raises the risk of loss of income that should be received. The cause of this problem is that when ordering raw materials the Admin only guesses the amount of raw materials needed and the data regarding the availability of raw materials cannot be accessed in real time. Based on the problem, a study was carried out to design an information system for managing raw material inventory of UKM Media Warna Sca so that all information related to the supply of raw materials could be mutually integrated. The method of managing raw material inventories considered is the Q method and the P method. The chosen method is the method that produces the smallest total cost. The method used in system design is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which begins by identifying the information, design and construction needs of the system according to the design that was created. System testing consists of 2 : testing based on functions and testing based on usability factors. In the implementation phase, it was found that the system succeeded in reducing the percentage of lost income of UKM Media Warna Scan from 8.41% to 1.42%. Based on the test results, it was concluded that the information system that was designed was in accordance with the needs of the users and was easy to use. Suggestions for further research is to add financial statements to the information system that has been designed. |
