Industrial developments that occurred in the world today are very fast. Millennial penchants for mobile application make Fintech products and services are far more likely available. Instead of using cash and bank, people are connected to a digitalized payments infrastructure. Indonesia ranked 2nd (24.3%) on the countries where mobile payment apps adoption is growing fastest. One of the most developing services is mobile wallet. It has become a big phenomenon in Indonesia. The mobile wallet platforms compete with each other to always be the forefront and everyone's favorite. From this phenomenon, researcher decided to identify the factors that will affect the adoption of mobile wallet and whether offers made by mobile wallet platforms affect the adoption of technology. This research employs an extension of TAM to understand what influences the intention to adopt mobile wallet. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, social influence, mobility, price sensitivity variables were used. Online questionnaires were distributed and a sample of 598 respondents was taken for analysis using SEM with AMOS program. Findings of this study reveal that perceived ease of use, social influence, and mobility are significantly impact society behavioral intention to adopt mobile wallet. While perceived usefulness and perceived of risk do not significantly impact society to adopt mobile wallet. Perceived ease of use, social influence and mobility have a positive relationship with intention to adopt mobile wallet. Price sensitivity variable was dropped. |
