In planning a series of straight gear has 4 (four) velocity with input power of 50 hp at 2500 rpm rotation, there are several calculation steps which focuses on the comparison of the driving gear and driven gear. It is very important in calculating the transmission ratio and calculation speed. From the results of these calculations can be proceed by counting the number of gears and their final diameter on the shaft diameter, where the calculation results, especially on the speed of the attached plan on the table 3 shows that there is a decrease in speed of the motor input speed. From these results mentioned that the planning of a series of straight gear is acceptable in theory and logic.
