To face the increasingly complex banking competition, PT. Bank Lippo, Tbk, and PT. Bank Niaga, Tbk implement the strategy development activities by merger which aims at building a competitive advantage to improves its performance. The objective of the study is to find the differences between the performance before and after the merger. The data used is the secondary data from the quarterly report of PT. Bank Lippo, Tbk and PT. Bank Niaga, Tbk and using five indicators to measure the return on assets, liquidity, efficiency, net cash flow and debt ratio. The result shows that there is no difference in performance before and after the merger.
