Many people have known that textile and its related products especially garment that has share of more than 50 % are the most leading contributor in the non oil and gas revenue from export. Even some have heard that this industry was in the stagnation since 1993. But only a small number of people realized that garment export has successfully passed two different environment conditions. This paper would describe that the flexible strategies play an important role both in the enviornment one and environment two as well as in the growth condition and stagnation condition. The need to have a comprehensive understanding suggests a research entitled "The flexible strategies of indonesia's export - oriented garment firms." The building of frame of strategic flexibility concept suggested in the last issue of this journal is one of the important output of this research project.
