Isi artikelStory of urban politics is still underdeveloped in indonesia. Largely due to the lack of attention political scientist in urban studies.Meanwhile, the development of cities in indonesia to be complex and very rapid.the city of jakarta as capital of the country, the city administration and city business is uncomfortable. The system of public service facilities not get attention. Among others who are not comfortable mass transportation, traffic jams in jakarta that can not be tolerated anymore. Jakarta, a city that is very expensive because of the reliance on private transport. One of the alternative policies in the discourse of debate in the media to solve the problem of congestion in jakarta is the emergence of the idea to move the capital city of jakarta. This paper will give the opposite argument, that the capital city does no need to be moved. Moving the capital city of jakarta is moving 102 state institutions in jakarta from the executive, legislative move, move the judicial institutions and to move the friend countries (embassies) as well as multirateral institutions. In this paper, that no transfer of the capital city but the need for urban reforms in indonesia by building centers or industrial centers. The transfer of all head quarters outside the city of jakarta will be easier to do and do not require constitutional amendment.
