| This research aims to reduce the failure of pickups that occur in case packer machines. This pick up failure caused damage to some products to be due to fall during the pickup process. This happens because there are machine parts that are not in accordance with product specifications. The object of this research is a company engaged in home hygiene products, namely "Baygon" (Insect Control Products). Pick up failure that occurs in the case packer machine is caused by a gripper that uses a balloon system. The replacement of the balloon gripper system with a mechanical system was proposed in order to overcome the problem of pick up failure. The purpose of this study was to change the balloon gripper system with a mechanical gripper system in order to reduce pick up failures that often occur in case packer machines, so that there are no damaged products. From an academic point of view this research is expected to be a guide for further research or deepening knowledge of case packers. Keyword : Pick up failure, Replacement of balloon gripper system |
