The creative industry is the utilization of creativity, skills, talents, interests and individual competencies. The purpose of this study is to find out entrepreneurial intention in the creative economy, in line with the Indonesian government's program to advance the creative economy. The population of this research included all creative entrepreneurs, in Jakarta and Balikpapan. Five measurement instruments are used in this study: (1) entrepreneurial expertise, (2) perceived desirability, (3) perceived feasibility, (4) propensity to act, and (5) entrepreneurial intention. This study distributed questionnaires to 305 respondents consisting of 162 respondents in the Jakarta area and 143 in Balikpapan, with convenience sampling technique. It was found that entrepreneurial expertise has a positive and significant effect on (i) perceived desirability, (ii) perceived feasibility, and (iii) propensity to act. Perceived Desirability has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Perceived feasibility has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention, and propensity to act has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. |
