Isi artikelParental involvement is important towards helping the children’s second language learning especially to school. Thus, this study is about the parental involvement, which may influence towards the children’s English learning. The aim of the study is to see the extent of the parental involvement in order to help the children’s English learning in schools. Besides, this study is also to find out whether there is a positive relationship between the parental involvements towards the children’s second language learning and to provide several suggestions for solving the problem of the study. The data was collected in the form of questionnaire, which was administered to the parents of three major races (Malays, Chinese and Indians) in Malaysia. 30 selected parents who represent the sample of total population were involved in this study. Questions designed to elicit information on parent’s background, general ideas about parental involvement, parental involvement in school decision, parental involvement activities, parental involvement in second language learning and improving parental involvement. Data was analyzed by using SPSS, which was group tabulated in tables. In this study, the result findings showed that there is a relationship between the parental involvement and children’s second language learning. This study also found that the characteristics of respondents might influence towards the children’s second language learning. Therefore, the possible ways were also suggested on parental involvement to ease the problem of the study.
