Isi artikelTOEFL reading section is one of the notorious TOEFL sections among students of English. There are various factors causing students to get unsatisfying score on this section. One of them is students’ failing morale when doing the reading section of the TOEFL due to the loss of stamina doing the last section of the PBT TOEFL, and the troubles in adjusting themselves with the on screen texts of the CBT and IBT TOEFL, beside of course the commonly accepted truth about Indonesian students’ abhorrence in reading academic text. This paper elaborates a technique in reinforcing students’ morale in reading class, i.e., building up the spirit, the background knowledge and the cross culture awareness to set readiness to read, the ability to recognize the types of TOEFL reading texts, the skills and strategies to answer the TOEFL reading comprehension questions, so that students’ attitude against TOEFL reading section will alter eventually from abhorrence to fondness, and thus will build up the love reading character in the long run.
