Isi artikelWide occupational differentials in interracial marriage rates in Hawaii have persisted for more than a decade, although all groups have recorded increases. In 1956-1957,rates ranged from 22.0 percent for professional workers to 43.5 percent for farm laborers. In 1967-1968, rates ranged from 28.8 percent for professionals to 50.8 percent for nonfarm laborers. Rates for both periods showed high negative correlations with income levels.
