Isi artikel
The responses of 3,551 boys and girls, ages 10 to 17, to four cartoons depicting various boy-girl situations are analyzed. There is a general shift toward interpreting the situations romantically with age while hostile, exploitative, and non-interactional responses decrease. Social confidence appears to decrease rather than increase with age. The general similarities of boys' and girls' perceptions are noted, and systematic differences are discussed.
