Isi artikel
This study examines the relationship among physical disability, need satisfaction, and marriage satisfaction in 36 couples in which the wife was disabled. A Perception of Needs Scale and a Marital Satisfaction Scale were developed for this project. A Mobility Dimension Scale was adapted from one utilized in previous research. It was found that the physical condition of the disabled woman is not a useful predicto1"of need or marriage satisfaction in either member of the couple. The problem of role ambiguity complicated the picture in some important ways. Need satisfaction and marriage satisfaction were found to be highly correlated.
