Isi artikel
The present study investigates the extent to which 304 college girls understand the condom, rhythm, diaphragm, and douche contraceptive techniques. Extent of knowledge is compared with certain youth-culture variables, e.g., origin of contraceptive information, age dating began, age of men dated, frequency of dating, and access to an apartment. Results indicate that knowledge of contraceptive information is associated with peers as a source of information and interactions with dating partners. Also, the results suggest that knowledge of "male-oriented" techniques is associated with contact with men and of "female-oriented" techniques, contact with older women.
