College student attitudes toward time of marriage were examined among University of Minnesota freshmen, They did not demonstrate the eagerness to wed that some discussions have supposed. Although they wished to marry within a short period after graduation, they overwhelmingly objected to marriage beforehand, and the large majority had not yet formed any steady attachment.
