Abstract
The aim of this study is to describe the intentions of becoming an entrepreneur and entrepreneurial competencies in vocational graduates. Entrepreneurial competencies here referred to soft; skill competencies and hard skill competencies. The population of this research is vocational graduates in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta and Jakarta. The sampling technique used is incidental sampling. Descriptive analysis indicated that in general, vocational graduates have the moderate scores intention to become an entrepreneur. For entrepreneurial competencies, both soft skills and hard skill competencies the score tend to high. Compared the areas, there were no differences in scores intention to become entrepreneurs among vocational graduates in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta and vocational graduates in Jakarta. But for competencies, the general score of vocational school graduates in Gunung Kidul tend to higher than the score of the of vocational school graduates in Jakarta.
