The hospitality industry is synonymous with long work days, long working hours, low job security, and working in shifting hours that are uncommon. This condition can lead to turnover intentions. One of the causes of employee turnover is a lack of workplace flexibility and also due to the work family conflict. This study aims to determine the effect of workplace flexibility on turnover intentions with work-family conflict as an intervening variable. The population is all employees of Hotel Grand Indonesia, the sample size is determined based on the Slovin formula, and the sampling technique with convenience sampling. The results showed workfamily conflict has significant positive effect on turnover intentions, workplace flexibility has significant negative influence on turnover intentions, workplace flexibility has significant negative influence on work-family conflict, work-family conflict has a role to mediate the effects of workplace flexibility to turnover intentions, gender has a role to moderate the effect of workplace flexibility on work-family conflict, where the effect of workplace flexibility on workfamily conflict is much more significant for female employees than male employees. |
