The authors are interested in writing a thesis entitled: "Implementation of Safe Deposit Box at Bank Rakyat Indonesia". What is the operational mechanism of the Safe Deposit Box operation at Bank Rakyat Indonesia, including in the agreement talking about obligations of the bank and customers, especially in the event of default and Overmacht. The methods used in this research is Normative research by using the uridical normative and descriptive analystical. The data instrument that uses through this study is, literacture supported by filed research. operational mechanism is carried out by the Bank with a prepared draft of contract Safe Deposit Box (default) , Customer receives Customer Key and Bank holds Master Key. Implementation of Safe Deposit Box at Bank Rakyat Indonesia agreement can be according to Chapter VII Book III Civil Code. The result howe that the bank and costumers need a regulating rules for protection which can be a legal umbrella for customer and the bank since both parties have a balanced position.
