Abstract
The Effect of Teachers' Competence, Work Motivation and Leadership Behavior on Teachers' Performance using Job Satisfaction as Mediation Variable (A Study on Junior High School Teachers in Minahasa District) This study aims to test the influence of teachers' competency, motivation, and leadership behavior on the teachers' performance using job satisfaction as mediation variable. This is a study on junior high public school teachers in Minahasa District, North Sulawesi. Mediating variables function as an intermediary that deliver the influence of independent variables on dependent variables. In order to test these variables, the researcher conducted a study on junior high public school teachers with subjects' criteria of teachers who have the status of civil servants (PNS) and have received professional allowance or certification. Questionnaires were distributed to 271 respondents out of a total population of 844 teachers within junior high public schools in the district of Minahasa. Sampling was conducted using simple random sampling technique. The researcher used SPSS 22 for descriptive data analysis which includes data processing of the respondents and questionnaires data. Meanwhile, for SEM analvsis researcher used LISREL 8.70 for models and hypothesis testing phase. The results showed that the teachers' competence, work motivation, and leadership behavior toward teachers' performance using job satisfaction as a mediating variable, proved positive and significant on junior high public school teachers' performance in Minahasa.
