PT. Putra Mega Mandiri is an industry concerned in office security products and services. The problems that occurred in PT. PMM is a turnover rate > 8%, percentage of employee absenteeism > 2-3%, addition of 100 honorary workers, 39% of employees complain about mental workload, and 20% of employees complain about work environment. This problem is expected to affect employee performance. It can be seen from the unavailability of the tender target and the late production time. This research was conducted on the marketing and production division with the aim of measuring the mental workload using NASA-TLX, measuring motivation level using JDS, and to know the relation between mental work load and work environment to employee's motivation and performance. Based on the results, it can be seen that the mental workload is in the high category and the number of employees has not been optimal, the employees have high motivation in working and feel the working environment of PT. PMM is not good. Hypothesis testing gives the result that mental workload does not have an effect on employee performance, mental workload positively affects work motivation, work environment has no effect to work motivation and employee performance, and work motivation positively affects employee performance. For improvement, PT. Putra Mega Mandiri can do recruitment to realize the optimal number of employees and maintain employee motivation by providing bonuses, rewards, praise, and good understanding from managers that the work done is very meaningful for the company. |
