Cassava is one of the staple foods that consumed by the people of Indonesia. Besides being cheap, cassava also has many nutrients such as carbohydrates, dietary fiber, vitamins (B1, C), minerals, fats, and air as well as cassava tubers containing non-nutrient compounds tannin, and also cassava have a delicious taste. Based on that fact, makes cassava has a high economic value. Indonesian people cultivate cassava into other foods, one of them is cassava chips. One area in Indonesia that produces cassava chips is ponggang village. Cassava chips on this village have been sold and marketed, but have the problem of remaining fat content on cassava chips are still many and after tested in laboratory yields of 32.22% for every 100 grams of cassava chips. This is made of cassava chips exceeding the maximum fat content limit of 30% according to SNI. After observation, it is known that the oil left on the cassava chips is still much after the leaking process, so the change of the way of slicing oil is using a spinning machine. In this research, the concept concept of spinner machine from previous research is Dedy Christianto research, which the concept of manual system is chosen because it is adjusted to the condition of ponggang village which has unstable electric condition and save cost. The method used to realize it is the level of detail planning, ie making decisions or decisions to determine the components made and purchased, making bill of materials, engineering drawings to mengetatui detail component size, and look for the price of making the spinner machine. From the test results, it can be seen that the spinner machine reduces the oil content of cassava chips for every 100 grams of samples from 32.22% to 27.5% with automatic system, and to 29.8% with manual system. |
