Abstract
The handle brake of motorcycle is a very important component, because the handle brake function to activate the braking system on the motorcycle, either to slow or stop the rate of motorcycle. In general, the handle brake is made through a casting process using a metal material such as aluminum ADC12. Along with the development of the times, the use of metal materials in motor vehicles began to be replaced with polymer material that has a value of nearly equal to metal strength but has a lighter mass. Nylon is one type of polymer that has been widely applied to motor vehicles. To know the ability of nylon as alternative material of metal substitute, need to be conducted research on nylon material. The research conducted in the form of simulation of handle brake products that have been widely used. The handle brake ofmotorcycle products will be simulated using 2 different materials, namely aluminum ADC12 and nylon PA66 GF33. The simulation results will be compared to see the ability of PA66 GF33 as a substitute for ADC12.
