Ponggang village is an area that has hilly land conditions and inhabited by 70 heads of families with low education levels and the majority of livelihoods in agriculture. Based on observations, the people of Ponggang village started to use chemical fertilizers and pesticides to improve agricultural products. One effort that can be done to overcome this problem is to add organic matter to the soil. The addition of organic materials can be done by using organic fertilizers, such as compost and manure. The design and development of organic compost machine is considered capable of increasing agricultural productivity Ponggang village without having to eliminate the noble values that have been embedded in Ponggang village. By using this tool, Ponggang village farmers can reuse the waste farm and agricultural waste into organic compost fertilizer. Based on the results obtained through interviews and ovaries, then done approach using the morphological chart and Pugh's Concept Selection. The design result is then realized to be a potential user's usable product. After making the tool completed and tested the tool, it is known that the tool can accommodate as much as 75 kg of compost and able to chop organic trashes up to 7-10 mm in size.
