Isi artikel
The Chinese telecom-equipment maker aims to break into the top five globally. It has posted its best engineer to the U.S. to help make that happen. ZTE makes most of its money providing wireless base stations and other telecommunications equipment to operators. Faced with a slowing global economy and carriers cutting their infrastructure spending, it said in March that it has lined up to a $15 billion line of credit from the state-owned China Development Bank to help customers finance their purchases. At the same time, the company is looking to its consumer-focused handset business for growth.
