PT. Total Bangun Persada is a company that provides construction services in building public facilities, office buildings, hotels, etc. The problem at PT. Total is the number of mistakes that occured during the completion of work, while the company expects no defects in the building because it could be dangerous. In addition, the progress to mend the errors also indicates employee performance has not been maximized. From the results of the questionnaire, there are employee complaints about work-life balance, mental workload and employee satisfaction so that this study was conducted to determine the effect of work-life balance, mental workload, and job satisfaction on employee performance. Through this research, it is expected to know which variables affect the employee's performance in PT. Total so it can overcome the existing problems. Data collection using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and relibiality and sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The questionnaires were distributed to 150 employees of the Site Engineer, Quality Control and Quantity Surveyor division and the data processing was done by using NASA-TLX method to find out the mental workload and SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method with LISREL 8.7 software. The results showed that the level of mental workload for each division is in the high category with the highest indicator is mental demand. The result of hypothesis testing shows that the mental work load negatively affect job satisfaction, mental work load negatively affect employee performance, work-life balance positivetly affect job satisfaction, work-life balance has no effect on employee performance, and job satisfaction positively affect employee performance. For improvement, company can do recruitment to fulfill optimum employee, increase employee job satisfaction by increasing frequency of promotion, and forming team projects in order to push employee performance to be maximum. |
