Logistic system that influences the trading system, both International and National. In the logistics system, the distribution of goods is mostly done by sea transportation. In 2016, container shipments using sea transportation increased by almost 12%. The number of containers that increased caused an increase in dwell time at the port. Beside dwell time, there is also loading and unloading time and waiting time. The longer time at the port will disadvantageous for shipping companies. For that reason, it’s important to reduce dwell time of the container at the port. In this research, the assignment of containers is done to minimize total time using the existing mathematical model. The calculations on mathematical models are adjusted to the routes of one of Indonesia's shipping company and conditions of port in Indonesia. The existing mathematical model was developed using five scenarios to deliver the containers. This research applies linear programming in solving the problem of container assignment. The completion of the mathematical model is done with the help of LINDO and Excel Solver software. Based on the mathematical model used in this research, obtained minimum time taken by container in units of days. The study also features a dual solution and sensitivity analysis. The results of the scenarios that were designed were scenario 1 obtained total time of 21943.3 days for the assignment of 300 containers, second scenario stage 1 was 25642.5 days, second scenario stage 2 was obtained 28662.7 days, third scenario stage 1 was obtained 24215.4 days, third scenario stage 1 got 26823.7 days, scenario 4 got total time 25310.9 days. While scenario 5 does not get the optimum value for the assignment of container. |
