PT. Z is one of a manufacturing company producing electronic goods. In this study, the electronic product under study is the product of S-D model. As one of marketing strategy for products manufactured, the company offers a service guarantee to ensure all the products it produces, mainly for television product S-D model. Warranty services offered by the company raises additional costs caused due to some additional measures that must be done by the company relating towarranty service being offered. To overcome this, we conducted an evaluation and the estimated warranty costs for product television S-D model. By using data warranty policy implemented by the company, and claims data on S-D model of product television, it can be determined which components have contributed to the total cost of the warranty on the company. After determination of the components that will be studied, can be further evaluated and Determination estimate warranty costs by the company for S-D television models based on company policy, also based on claims that occurred on that product during the warranty period on the actual conditions of the study. Determination of cost estimation is done by first determining the distribution of which is owned by each of the damage and repair data for each component, then specify the parameters that can be determined the average value of damage and the average value of each component repairs. Furthermore, the probability of damage is determined values for each component, so it can be determined estimate of warranty costs for one unit of the S-D model of television products. The results of the estimated warranty costs based on company policy is greater than the estimated warranty costs based on claims data that occurred during the warranty period on the actual circumstances of the study. The difference between the two cost estimates amounted to 1.409,52 IDR/unit. |
