Abstract
Distribution is one aspect of a company's activities that have a sense as a delivery activity of a product from producer to consumer. Good or bad a distribution system of a company can give not a small effect on the company's performance in generating profits and compete with competitors. There are many factors that can affect the good or bad of a distribution system in a company, one of which is the distribution route. The distribution route is one of the main factors affecting the performance of the company's distribution system, the determination of a good distribution route will result in saving distribution costs, saving time distribution, and so it can provide more benefits for the company. PT.Prosehat is an Amidis water distributor company that distributes gallons of water to 44 agents spread all over Jakarta. In its distribution system, PT. Prosehat pay less attention to the determination of the route taken so as to provide adverse impact for the company that is waste of transportation costs and excessive work time. Looking at the distribution route problem, the proposed improvement of the optimum distribution route determination using the historical data in January and February 2018 then the data is used to compare the saving matrix method and the TSP approach method with the help of heuristic method and LINGO.17 software. From the calculation results obtained in January saving matrix method succeeded in producing the optimum route improvement and in February the method of TSP approach succeeded in producing the optimum route improvement.
