The development in the manufacturing world has a very rapid progress in the field of technology to process its products using supporting manufacturing tools, but not all manufacturing companies have used an automated tool, there are still several companies that use the production process manually or traditionally, due to several factors, this is not a problem, as long as the company always pays attention to the quality of the product it produces. PD. Ratih Jaya is a company which manufactures pepper, black sticky rice, white sticky rice, and sugar. One of those steps is filling commercial pepper into a bottle. Each bottle has its own massa standard according to the company’s regulation, which is 45 gram. The pepper filling process is done using a cone-shaped tool which is made from plastic. The operator is responsible for pressing the tool according to their estimation whether the massa has reached the standard massa. This estimation usually results in some inconsistencies on the pepper’s massa of each bottle. The advantages and disadvantages of pepper each bottle can harm both companies and consumers. Based on the existing problem, the company needs a tool that supports the pepper filling process so it could go according to the company’s standard and no parties are harmed. This research aims to develop a pepper filling tool concept according to TRIZ method. Followed by morphological chart that can produce best alternative concepts and will be selected using pugh method and decision matrix to decide which concept is the best solution for the company. |
