This study aims to examine the effect of achievement motivation and supervisor sponsorship to career satisfaction in XYZ Higher Education. Knowledge of career satisfaction helps individuals develop appropriate personal strategies for career development, while at the organizationallevel, knowledge of career satisfaction helps corporate management in designing and implementing effective career systems. Career satisfaction is strongly influenced by internal factors in each individual, that is motivation for achievement and supervisor sponsorship for career development. Achievement motivation is a force that encourages a person to do more than anything previously achieved or what someone else has achieved. Superior support includes his effort to reward, to take care, and to improve the welfare of his employee. While career satisfaction is a feeling of pleasure and relief that arises in a person because of a career that has been built through sacrifices.Test method usedin this research is doubled linear regression which tests the significance and type of influence of achievement motivation (X1) and supervisor sponsorship (X2) to career satisfaction (Y). The samples in this study were taken from 88 respondents. Respondents data were collected from the results of questionnaires related to the research variables in the form of respondents' answers onLikert scale, then processed by using SPSS.The results showed that there was a significant and positive influence of achievement motivation and supervisor sponsorhip to career satisfaction, either by partial interaction (based on multiple regression ttest formula) or simultaneous interaction (based on multiple regression Ftest formula). Thus the hypothesis of this study is accept H1, H2 and H3. |
