At the past, they suffered due to many political actions and policies developed by the Indonesian government. Tionghoa in Indonesia also a regular citizen who needs to act in politics to support democracy. To become an active citizen who often participates in politics, they need to have a psychological orientation towards politics, efficacy; interest and knowledge, which drive them to take actions in a political setting. However, due to many social and political pressures obtained by Tionghoa at the past, and even created a traumatic experience for them, Government needs to consider their orientation more than other ethnic. This study aims to explore the degree of psychological orientation towards politics (POSP) in Tionghoa citizens which represented by college students as our sample. Authors used Psychological Orientation towards Politic Scale (POSP-S) to measure and explore the psychological orientation of college students in Jakarta towards Indonesia political environment. Result has confirmed our hypotheses that Tionghoa college students (n=191) tend to have lower psychological orientation than Non-Tionghoa students (n=104) in three POSP dimensions.
