Abstract
Background : Morphometry analysis of brain ventricles is a way to evaluate changes that are caused by growth, ageing, or extrinsic and intrinsic diseases. Ratio from lateral ventricles width can describe the structural condition of which. This correlation data can help diagnostic process of brain structural abnormality of the brain especially the ventricular system.
Methodology : The measurement is collected from 100 samples that already did the CT-Scan examination reported with normal result from Atma Jaya Hospital’s radiologist. The data collection of Frontal Horn Ratio (FHR), Bicaudate Ratio (BCR), and Evan’s Ratio (ER), along with the anteroposterior (AP) and transversal (TD) diameter of the brain is collected from CT-Scan’s axial view. Data analysis is performed using SPSS program version 23.
Results : There are 54 males and 46 females from 100 samples with age from 20 to 65 years old. Mean value of FHR, BCR, and ER are 0.27 ± 0.035, 0.11 ± 0.025, dan 0.24 ± 0.031. FHR to AP correlate significantly with weak positive correlation (r=0.35) and ER to AP get a significant correlation with weak positive correlation (r=0.35). BCR have a very weak positive correlation to AP (r=0.08) that is not significant. FHR and ER have a very weak negative correlation to TD (r=-0.02 and r=-0,06) that is not significant. BCR to TD have a very weak positive correlation (r=0.13) that is not significant.
Conclusion : Significant correlation only obtained from FHR and ER to AP with weak positive correlation. Every correlation to TD is not significant.
