The role of high risk HPV in breast cancer is still debatable. There is also few studies using L1 HPV protein as their base antibody.This Study is conducted to find out the frequency of High Risk HPV infection in breast cancer. Methods. There are 40 samples of breast cancer that has been fixated with formalin in parafin blocks. The samples are then subjected to immunohistochemistry treatment by using the anti-HPV antibody clone K1H8 which is sensitive to L1 HPV protein. Result. There are 2 of 40 (5%) samples that showed a postive reaction to the antibody. Conclusion. There is a correlation between High risk HPV infection with breast cancer.
