This paper evaluates the effectiveness of teaching and lecturing in supporting the international students whose first language is not English studying in Australian universities, by finding the trends, of teaching and lecturing of both the ability of the students to understand the lectures and the lecturers' ways in delivering the lectures. In addition, to look at how effective the teaching and lecturing in supporting the students, results for the courses are considered to be the evidence. Linguistic background, students' difficulties in learning and ways in which lecturers can improve teaching and lecturing are examined. This paper suggests some strategies for students who want to study in Australian universities, the students themselves and the lecturers.
