The prevalence of increased malnutrition arises in developing countries where the country is endemic of pulmonary tuberculosis. This study was conducted on the basis of different research results on the magnitude of malnutrition risk to the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods : The research method was done by case control design which collected 80 patients from medical records in 2016-2017 at Atma Jaya Hospital. Case samples include all patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis either malnutrition or not malnutrition, while control samples include all patients who did not suffer pulmonary Tuberculosis. Result : The results of this research showed that there was an effect of malnutrition towards pulmonary tuberculosis.(p = 0,004, OR = 3,67) Conclusion : Malnourished patients are at a higher risk of 3,67x to develop pulmonary tuberculosis than non-malnourished patients.
