We are gratified by R Jay Turner's comment on our paper "Mental Health Disparities Research," (Schwartz & Meyer, 2010) both because he concurred with the logic of our analysis and because his commentary reflects the type of discussion we hoped our paper would inspire (Turner, 2010) However, we do not think that Turner's view is "directly contrary to the conclusion" we drew as he suggests (Turner, 2010).
