In this study, 47 non-Mormon, religious minority high school students and 36 Mormon, religious majority high school students were asked to Identify perceived barriers In dating Mormons (If they were non-Mormon) or In dating non-Mormons (If they were Mormon). They also were asked If they advised dating between members 'of both groups. More barriers In dating were Identified by Mormons, in contrast to non-Mormons. Further, the Mormon adolescents expressed greater reluctance In advising dating between Mormons and non-Mormons. Based on these findings, theoretical Implications, questions for future research on the topic, and Implications for youth and religious workers d3aling with either religious minority or majority youths are given.
