Isi artikel
Binding theory divides NP into R-expression, pronoun, and anaphor. It is predicted that this division applies in all langguages. In English, it seems that these three subclasses of NP are very clear because the defferences in number, gender, and pronoun in NP are overtly marked in morphology (maybe in all Endo European languages). In Austronesian languages, like Javanese, there are some constraints about this division as seen in the fact that gender, number, pronoun in the language, are not marked overly in morphology. It is not easy to apply this division (R-expression, pronoun, and anaphor) into Javanese. This article will dicuss the problems of binding theory in Javanese reflexesives. There is no special form in anaphor so that there is no defferences between anaphor and pronoun.
