Isi artikelMembeli ‘to buy’ and membawa ‘to carry’, for examples, are transitive verbs in Indonesian. Those are verbs which need an object (O). But, the fact, not all of transitive verbs need an O, at least in Indonesian. There is two transtitive verb types which do not need an O. The first type is transitive verbs with a specific O, such as melahirkan ‘to give birth’. The second is transitive verbs which express a feeling, such as memuaskan ‘to satisfy’, mengecewakan ‘to unsatisfy’.
