Isi artikelThis article demonstrates the relationship of theory to practice by outlining an internet-based language learning environment for the teaching/learning of Greek as a second language. The application was designed according to the needs of a particular target group: adult members of the Greek diaspora who have conversational skills in Greek and wish to improve their academic language proficiency and discrete language skills. Although it can be used by individual second (or foreign language) learners, its pedagogical potential lies in its full implementation or the creation of inter-institutional sister class connections that can be utilised by Greek language or literature departments in universities outside of Greece.
