Head trauma is one of the most common trauma events. Head trauma is any form of violence that affects the head and will cause injury to the scalp, skull and brain. Head trauma in the most frequent traffic accidents due to blunt force, although it can also result from other violence such as thermal violence by burns or sharp hardness Aim. Objectives. This study aims to determine the appropriate assessment in predicting mortality in head trauma patients. Methods. This study used analytical descriptive method with cross-sectional with total respondents as many as 97 people selected by consecutive sampling on Atma Jaya Hospital medical record. Results. The majority of male patients (68%), aged 30 - 34 years (38%), high school graduates (56%), worked as construction laborers (20%) and married (54%). Head injury was 39%. Conclusions. The analytic description test results can not be measured on both the RTS and KTS trauma scoring systems in predicting mortality in head injured patients at Atma Jaya Hospital. But the high percentage of patients who suffered head injury is a special concern so that interventions need to be done to reduce the incidence of head injury.
