Isi artikelThis article examines how the interrelated identities of witness, victim, and perpetrator are co-constructed in forensic interviews occurring after allegations of child sexual abuse are made. Work related to issues of power in the area of forensic interviews with children tends to focus on coerciveness, and interviewers have power relative to children in interviews. Children seem to be aware of the consequences of being co-constructed as victims, and their interactions with the interviewer reveal this awareness. Children may resist being constructed as agentively responsible for actions. They may co-construct themselves as resis- tant to events within the account being co-animated. However, when children demonstrate resistance to the interview process itself, they can affect the co- construction of their identities as both witnesses and victims in turn affecting the co-construction of the identity of perpetrator. Children, then, as authors and co-animators of the accounts being generated, display power in the ongoing interactions
