The Kingdom of God is at the heart of the Federation of Asian Bishops Conferences' understanding of "mission". Given the reality of religious pluralism in Asia and the glaring poverty of millions of Asians, the FABC sees the proclamation of the Kingdom as the task of engaging with interreligious dialogue and of working together with peoples of other religious traditions to bring about a just and peaceful society. For the Asian bishops, the tasks of the Kingdom, interreligious dialogue, and liberation are inseparable dimensions of the one mission of the Church in Asia.
