Official statement from the recent emergnecy meeting held by the 56 Muslim countries under the Organization of the Islamic Conference, would hae certanly disappointed Osama bin Laden and his followers, as the delegates roundly condemned last month's terrorist attacks on the United States and is distancing itself from the Taliban's calls for jihad. Perhaps even worse from Mr. bin Laden's standpoint was the OIC's failing to demand a halt to the American bombing campaign in Afghanistan.
