Abstract
Combined cycle power plant (CCPP) is a joint power plant of Gas and Steam power plant where exhaust from the gas turbine is utilized to heat water in Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) to produce steam used as a Steam Turbine driver. PT.X is a private power plant which is running/operating with Combined Cycle Power Plant System, in its operation found some drawbacks that is not exactly setting the power load following the requirement of PLN load and Industrial Estate load, thus impacting the high production cost. In this thesis, the CCPP system tested to obtain the load characteristic and calculated the heat rate value of each combined cycle to determine which unit is more efficient and obtain the optimal operational load configuration model. The advantage gained from the change of operational pattern is the production cost savings of US$ 801.420 / month.
