In this article I argue chat besides verbal aspect, which concerns the way a property or relation is represented in the temporal dimension, there is also nominal aspect, which relates to the way a property is represented in the spatial dimension. I will contend that certain elements, which are often believed to be number markers, are in fact nominal aspect markers. Evidence to support this will be taken from several genetically unrelated languages. Additionally it is suggested that nominal aspect plays a role in connection with incorporated and predicate nouns.
