Isi artikel
The global crises that dominated the first half of the twentieth century profoundly influenced the development of ecumenical social thought. the darkness of this time colored the diagnosis of the pronlem, leading even such a level-headed thinker as J.H. Oldham to state, "the fabric of human society is threatened with collapse." its severity focused attention on Christianity, especially on the incongruaty between the reality and depth of the crisis and the claims of the Christian message.
